The Accord is aimed at the company car market and is pitched as an upmarket alternative to the Mondeo or Vectra. Whilst it does have  excellent power units and the space and trim levels are good the main problem is that the Accord is simply to expensive too compete genuinely  in this market sector. It is however an excellent alternative for the private buyer who wants something different. Safety levels are good with the Accord scoring 4 stars in the NCAP crash test. Insurance groups are low considering the quality performance and the image of the vehicle.
